I'M VERY HONOURED TO BE :

RETWEETED AND LIKED BY THE COLBERT LATE SHOW,

TO BE FOLLOWED BY KELLY CROW, COVERING THE ART MARKET FOR THE WALL STREET JOURNAL

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST, TO BE LIKED BY JERRY SALTZ, SENIOR ART CRITIC FOR THE NEW YORK MAGAZINE

    Hello !

My name is Sophie Lapointe, better known as "Bebejabets", artist painter, and woodswoman from Quebec, Canada.

I grew up near a forest where I used to play with my friends. Inspired, I took Art classes and explored all mediums at College. Later, an acrylic class convinced me to paint full time.

Eventhough I was once persuied by a pack of wolves... or lost in the forest for 3 hours... I love hicking the mountains and beautiful landscapes of the Laurentians' and Lanaudiere's regions, north of Montreal. As an artist, my brush transforms what it sees, reinventing the forms and patterns. I'm in a constant search for the Absolute Light.

My paintings are recognizable by the mountain, pine, fir, by sparkling colors, and a Modern, very personnal Style. They're also recognizable by their titles: Bible verses... My way of thanking God for giving me the chance to admire everyday the beauty of His Creation.

I humbly try to pay tribute to the beautiful Canadian and Quebec's landscapes.

On my blog, you'll find only few of my acrylics on canvas. But these will give you an idea of my collection. Also available at my studio, small acrylics on paper ( 4"x6" & 6"x6" ), few pastels or gouaches on paper, prints and Christmas cards (french).

My studio is near Montreal. If you want to buy one of my paintings or for more info, please send us an e-mail at : bebejabets@yahoo.ca

Hoping you have a nice visit !
